I’ve got quite the story for you.
Love has nothing to do with skin colour.
My parents were the first to show me that love has nothing to do with skin colour and hair texture. I’m so grateful for that!
But the adults in my environment believed I was different. Many kept petting my hair without permission.

Looking at my grade 8 picture, you would not know that the stylist who cut my hair didn’t understand how to work with curls. I ended up with a mushroom mullet haircut. I definitely cried that day.
Who has played “hairstylist” in your life?
Before I became the well-known curly hair expert that I am today, I played hairdresser for myself in high school.
I found my calling early.
After high school, I was sent to Barbados to figure out my life. While there, I decided to become a hairstylist. I’m grateful to have found my calling early in life.
The Curl Revolution Era:
It’s about building an inspiring legacy.
I never want my son or anyone else to feel different because of skin colour and hair texture. I made it my mission to become the curl expert I am today.
